WustenbergerLand German Shepherds, Breeds,
trains, schutzhund titles and internationally competes with the
German Shepherds we breed. We breed to the German standard. This
separates us from most all other German shepherd breeders
advertising on the web. All our breeding dogs MUST be of solid
German bloodlines. We do not start breeding our German Shepherds
until two years of age. All must have schutzhund titles and
breed survey (kore klase 1) VA-V rated in show. with solid hips
and elbows.
If the parents do not have this in Germany then you don't get to
register the litter. And the offspring has no chance in work,
show or breeding. So this is why the standard of the "German
bloodline shepherd" has become so popular nationwide. We offer
puppies breed to this standard even though it is probably
something you are not interested in our puppies have no wholes
in their pedigree. They can be registered with the German SV
United Schutzhund clubs of America and German Shepherd dog club
of America- Working dog assoc. The possibility to compete
internationally, WustenbergerLand German Shepherds do have a
chance to become high placing in work and show we do not have
any wholes in our German Shepherds pedigree.
The USA's FCI recognized breed registry is the American Kennel
Club it is ONLY a breed registry service and has no authority to
require anything for registering a litter other than the Sire
and Dam have a AKC registration number for their off spring to
receive full registration. No titles not even hip and elbow OFA
or A-stamp. This is left up to the breeder to take care of. And
unfortunately this is not always happening. So it is buyer
beware when you read a ad about a breeders breeding from German
VA sieger bloodlines. Yeah there may be some of that in the
pedigree along with a mixture of American German Shepherds and
or Working line shepherds.
So ask for documentation that what you are paying for is really
what your getting.
You should ask questions about the breeder: Why do you breed?
Why did you do this breeding? What do you expect from this
litter of puppies to improve? How many German Shepherds that you
yourself have bred have reached schutzhund titles? How many have
reached a champion rating of VA or V? Again ask for
documentation proof.
Just because someone using the German import bloodlines does not
mean your going to get a correctly bred German Shepherd puppy.
Putting two dogs together just because of bloodline is not how
to get a sound German shepherd dog.
You still need to consider the mother is she the same quality as
the stud dog being advertised? How many sound titled German
shepherds has this stud produced. How many offspring from your
breeding have had their hips and elbows exrayed and cleared? We
have had many litters titled and ex-rayed this is an outstanding
accomplishment.
Also one other point, even when a breeder as bred to the highest
standard available you must remember that a chance of problems
with some genetic issue can do and will arise. It is not often
but it does happen so this is another reason to purchase from a
breeder with outstanding reputation.
